Ron DiCianni  is a renowned artist who depicts Christianity in murals. His work is vibrant, filled with joyful colours. I especially love Simeon’s Moment, depicting Simeon at the temple, holding  Jesus, the Messiah he has waited for decades.  Simeon’s joy is tangible, reflected in not only in his facial expression but also in the choice of colours and DiCiannis mastery of shimmering light

My reaction to many of DiCianni’s paintings is immediate; tears spring to my eyes unexpectedly. It is like his images have the power to connect with my spirit, not just my emotions.

His most famous painting though is The Resurrection Mural. Ron says,

The Resurrection Mural, is a 40 foot by 12 foot oil on canvas mural by, Ron DiCianni. Commissioned by The Museum of Biblical Art, this mural took over two years to create and involved movie studios to make a life size tomb, family members to assist with costumes for the models, and countless hours of prayer.

While the mural itself is breathtakingly beautiful, its purpose goes much deeper than just merely art.  This mural brings people in and lets them experience the moment in which Christ conquered the grave and stepped out of the tomb.  http://www.resurrectionmural.com/
