Gloria in excelsis Deo, it is already the third week in Advent, time to rejoice with the angels as we prepare to celebrate His birth in our hearts. I love good, inspired art, everything from stained glass, icons, the old masters and modern Christian painters. When an artist paints in and with the Holy Spirit, his creations are imbued with power, a spiritual power that lifts our hearts and souls into the presence of God himself.
My small successes this week are all about discovering different types of Christian and/ or Catholic Art.
1. Stained glass angels light a spark of joy within me and inspire words of praise
2. The old Masters and Icons instill reverence and stillness

3. Ron DiCianni captures the Infant Jesus as the light of the world with the power to infuse us with joy, living Joy

Beautiful. I was in a church today that had stained glass. As the sun was shining through the stained glass at the altar, I was blessed by God’s presence in a powerful way. I know God is everywhere but today was special. I am so blessed by being in church! Hallelujah!
