Today we honour a remarkable sain t- Joseph. When modern artists depict St. Joseph, they capture a strong, loving man who is a human supported by divine strength. St. Joseph was a worker, capable but spiritual enough to see and hear messages from God. He was courageous enough act on those commands even though they went against all common sense. His young betrothed was pregnant yet a virgin but he accepted the impossible. He obeyed a spiritual dream which called him to move to Egypt, the place of slavery in the minds for the Jews. A man married to a beautiful girl, he remained celibate even though celibacy was not a virtue to the Jewish people. How many of us could obey such ludicrous messages?

Love St. Joseph! What an awesome topic to blog about coming from the perspective of art depictions.
